Here is a fun game we play. We write 100 words about a prompt, and then our friends do the same. Here’s the prompt:
Here is what I wrote:
Someone must have seen him, because the police were at his door. He had never done anything wrong before. Not even lied to his mom. At ten, that was a big deal. But the cops had come, knocking on his door. Jason stood there sweating and near tears.
I shouldn’t have stolen the gum. They’re going to put me in jail for sure. And I deserve it.
His mother opened the door. The officers asked for donations for a coat drive, then left.
Jason’s heart hurt. I’ll go pay for two tomorrow. Maybe that will be enough to feel better.
