They found his diary under his bed

Here is our fun game, me and a bunch of author friends take a prompt a week and we all write 100 words…The prompt is, “They found his diary under his bed He opened the door to find her standing there, crying He opened the door to find her standing there, crying.”

under the bed

Here’s what I wrote:

Nicolas died four days ago. Charyn’s hands shook as she picked through his home, looking for something to say at his funeral. Henry prowled into the room and kneeled down. They found his diary under his bed. Charyn say with the little book in her lap, and began to read about life at the turn of the century from the perspective of a boy who wanted to run the telegraph. Tears poured down her face, “You shouldn’t be dead. I had too many questions still.” On the last page he wrote, Charyn, I am dead. I’m sorry. I want revenge.
