WonHundred Word Wednesday

Prompt: The old photos made her conscious of her age, of how much time had passed…

What I wrote:The old photos made her conscious of her age, of how much time had passed, and yet how little showed. The girl in the picture looked a few years younger, and yet time had moved like a river beneath her static shoes. Behind her in the image old streets made of asphalt, unlike the one where she stood. The old electric lights in pretty brass fittings, now replaced with utilitarian monstrosities that put usefulness over form. Her face, unlike those things was unchanged. She still wore the eyes of a fifteen year old, her heart bore the stains of agedness.
