Wonhundred Word Wednesday… January 14,… sort of

My apologies for the late post. I had the joy of visiting the hospital and got a bit behind, but here I am back. So it is writing day again. You know what that means. Read what I wrote and check out other authors who are doing the same….

She went to the bathroom and on her way back opened the wrong door. The door pulled just like the one at the shelter, the same handle, the same oiled movement in the hinges, but on the other side an alley opened up. The long pathway paved in dark, filthy cobbles, with gaslights against the street far ahead. The smell assaulted her, garbage, rotten something, and urine. This is definitely not a normal door. If I close it and open it again, will it still be there? Or do I just jump down the rabbit hole? Nothing held her here.

Check out the other great stories! And come back each Wednesday for a new prompt.
