Wonderful WonHundred Word Wednesday!
“You are on a crowded subway platform when you see a familiar face…”
The smell of another day lifetimes ago filled me. My hand reaching up to dash away the tear trails streaking down my face.
“Oh come now. How can the fearless reporter be crying? The one who stood up against a crowd so willing to beat me to a pulp a year ago?” The now trim pretty girl, not so long ago standing in my shoes, amongst different smells, in a different part of the city.
“The more things change right?” I sniffled.
“The more they are defined by the men we choose to sacrifice our hearts to?”
“Or our souls?”
(Note this is a fun writing game we are going to play every Wednesday. So follow along and look for my friends who will be doing the same things…
